At this level of play, the division follows most USA championship guidelines appropriate for this age level. 

• The division will play with 12” hard balls for every game.  

• Regulation game is seven innings.  No new inning may start after 1 hour 45 minutes and teams will finish the inning.  Official inning time will be the moment of the last recorded out.  

• A team must have a minimum of eight players to start game. Players arriving late are inserted at the bottom of the batting order. No penalty out is taken for missing ninth player.  

• 9 players on defense all games.  

• Players may be substituted openly into the game. 

• Five run limit.  

• Mercy rule: 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings and 8 runs after 5 innings (Coaches are encouraged to play out games to time limits.) Both coaches must agree to disregard the Mercy Rule.

• Base runners may steal home.  

• Batters may run to first base on a dropped third strike with first base open and less than two outs and anytime with two outs. 

• Pitchers removed from the mound during a game may return to the mound in the same game.    

• There is no penalty of any kind for players leaving a game early for any reason. 

Any and all adjustments to rules must be agreed on by both coaches.
