2025 Official Raffle Rules
Eligibility
The raffle is open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Regardless of the entrant’s location, the prize must be accepted in the state of Oregon. The winning ticket will be drawn by a person who did not purchase a raffle ticket. This ensures that SHGS affiliated persons are eligible to win the prize.Sponsor
This raffle is sponsored by St. Helens Girls Softball Association (SHGS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at P.O. Box 160, St. Helens, OR 97051.Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the raffle constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these rules and the decisions of the sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these official rules and fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.Prize Drawing
The drawing will take place at 12:00 PM at Campbell Park in St. Helens, OR 97051 on Saturday, April 26, 2025, during Opening Day. You need not be present to win. A minimum of two SHGS board members will be present at the drawing. The winner will be announced at the time of drawing and/or notified by phone. The winner will also be announced on:

The prizes for this raffle are:1st Prize: $3,000.00 Cash (Check Form)
2nd Prize: $2,000.00 Cash (Check Form)
Winners will have one year to claim their prize. If a winner fails to accept the prize within one (1) year, the prize will be forfeited, and SHGS will retain the funds for use as it sees fit. The total combined prize value is $5,000.00.Taxes
The raffle winner will be responsible for any taxes related to winning a prize in the State of Oregon. SHGS will NOT pay those taxes.Tickets and Entering Contest
Ticket price: $10.00 each
Tickets can be purchased from SHGS Softball Players, Coaches, and Board Members, or by contacting us on our website: https://shsoftball.com/contact
A maximum of 2,500 tickets will be sold.
The tickets will be numbered, but entrants must write legibly their name, phone number, and email address if available. If the contact information is not legible or valid, the winner must present the matching ticket stub to claim the prize.
Method of Payment
SHGS will accept cash, checks, money orders, or credit cards if purchased at a ticket sale event or location. NSF checks will have a $25.00 fee assessed, and checks must clear prior to the drawing to be valid.General Conditions
SHGS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found tampering with the entry process or operation of the raffle or acting in violation of these official rules. Any attempt by any person or organization to damage, interfere with, or undermine the legitimate operation of this raffle may constitute a violation of criminal and civil law. Should such an attempt occur, SHGS reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and other remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure of SHGS to enforce any provision of these official rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.Release and Limitation of Liability
By participating in this raffle, entrants agree to release and hold harmless SHGS and any of its associates, agents, board members, league members, other companies and/or their affiliates, as well as any person or company acting on behalf of or volunteering for SHGS for the purposes of this raffle, from any and all claims or causes of action arising out of participation in this raffle or receipt or use of the prize. Entrants also waive the right to claim any damages, including but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
